Is vibrational medicine finding it's place in the post Covid world?
Energy medicine or vibrational medicine are becoming more popular around the world so why is embracing energy in heath so vital to our well-being?
Let’s have a quick look at the underpinning logic that supports the use of energy as a term in relation to health and well-being.
Firstly, what do we mean by energy? And what do we mean when we talk about the physics of health? Well, we’re not talking about something esoteric and woo woo, or wacky, are we? We are talking about the natural state we all strive for – physical, mental, and emotional health, which if we go back to the roots of language means – whole or wholeness.
It’s funny isn’t it that we now add the word holistic to health - which means we actually use two words for the same thing. So, what does it mean for us to be whole or healthy?
In 1948 the WHO defined health as more than the absence of disease. This was revolutionary in its time, but it has since been suggested that, with our population ageing, and the international focus on the management of transmittable disease, the 1948 definition no longer serves its purpose. Huber et al propose shifting the emphasis of health towards the ability to adapt and self-manage in the face of social, physical, and emotional challenges. Adaptability and resilience in the face of life’s events – that sounds far more achievable than chasing the holy grail of a symptom-free life, doesn’t it?
And energy, well energy gives us the chance to dominate our problems, both inherited traits and tendencies and the environmental factors, which use our resources and affect our capacity to withstand the stresses of our hectic modern lifestyle. The ability to access and utilise energy efficiently improves our resilience in a variety of ways, which all add to our sense of wholeness or health.
